As the name implies, a functional capacity evaluation is meant to test a person’s level of injury. If a person gets injured at work, and If they receive the needed treatment through a workers’ compensation claim, the person will need to undergo an evaluation. The functional capacity evaluation test is meant to see whether a person can return to work or not. Furthermore, the evaluation is needed to complete a worker’s compensation claim. The evaluation can be ordered by a physician, employer, lawyer, or insurance adjuster.

A healthcare provider is in charge of the test. All in all, the test consists of a variety of physical tasks related to an employee’s job.
